Beginning Monday April 21 we will open up all barcoded bound and unbound periodicals to paging both locally and through Summit. We will run this as a pilot during Spring quarter and then assess any process and workload issues during the summer. The material types that will be made pageable are #26 - Periodical and #46 - Unbound Periodical.
Material paged at UW library units would go out with the same loan period as at the owning unit. Periodicals with a 3 day loan would go on the hold shelf for 3 days and periodicals with a 7 day loan or longer would go on the hold shelf for 7 days. Material checked out to Summit would stay on the hold shelf for 3 days and have a loan period of 3 days.
