"unsupported card type" Error Message at the Dawg Prints Release Station

If the screen saver is up on the monitor at the time someone swipes their card, they will always get the above message. The swipe is like a key stroke on the keyboard or a jiggle of the mouse, but isn't recognized by the swipe software as such. If the person taps the keyboard then swipes their card, they won't get this message (unless they swipe their card way too fast or unevenly through the swipe).
