Polish Posters DVD Start & Stop

I agreed to have those of us who open and close Allen Info to be the ones who start the DVD player for the Polish exhibit each morning and to turn it off at closing. Here are the directions (which I will place in print form in the front pocket of the binder-under-the-clock at the desk. The remote control will be in the drawer with the Allen Auditorium key.

To start the Polish poster exhibit film on the DVD player so that it runs in a continuous loop:

On the remote control, press Power, and then Play to start the film.
  1. Press “Play Mode” and a message will appear on the screen
  2. Press “Enter” until the message on the screen reads “Play Mode: Repeat … Title”
  3. Press “Play Mode” one more time and the “Repeat Title” message will move to the upper righthand corner of the screen for a few seconds, and will then disappear.
The film is now set to run continuously until closing.
The film is Freedom on the Fence, about the history of Polish poster art. It runs 40 minutes, was released in 2009 and was produced by Andrea Marks, a professor of graphic design at Oregon State University.

  1. Turn the DVD player off using either the remote control, or the power switch on the monitor.
