Incoming Students Library Privileges

We are getting requests from incoming fall quarter students wanting to borrow books.  Usually they have had netID's for a while, so they think they are all set.  However, if they aren't in the patron database, they won't be able to request books.  Here is a response from the Cashier to one of those recent questions:

"As a student registered for Autumn Quarter you will not actually be able to begin using your library borrowing privileges until closer to the start of the quarter. You will be able to start accessing the libraries approximately two weeks before the start of the quarter.

If you would like to begin using the libraries before your student access is activated you are able to purchase a library card that is good for 3 months. This card costs $30.00 and can be bought through the Library Cashier Office. You may purchase this card over the phone by calling 206-543-1174, or visit our office in person on the first floor of Suzzallo Library. The Library Cashier is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. We are closed on holidays."
