The preparation for this event is grand and involves the work of many, many people. The areas that will be used for this event will be Suzzallo Espresso, West End lobby, Room 102, 1st floor octagon, Grand Staircase, the Reading Room, portions of the third floor and some of the group studies rooms. Signs will be posted.
The moving of furniture and equipment out of the Gala spaces begins on Tuesday, 9/7. There also will be event furniture deliveries beginning on Tuesday.
Real time rehearsals are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Library Facilities staff will be on site with the vendors/UW advancement staff for the rehearsals.
Suzzallo Espresso and Market will close at 3pm on Thursday, 9/9, be closed on Friday, 9/10, and reopen for business on Monday, 9/13/10 at 9am.
Furniture is scheduled to be put back in place starting Monday morning 9/13/10.
Library Facilities staff are heavily involved with the planning for this event and will be staffing all of the events. Consequently, response time by facilities staff to "everyday" facilities issues may be delayed.
