Drama Library Special Hours

Beginning this week, Hutchinson Hall will be locked after 5pm Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday in an effort to address ongoing problems with non-UW persons roaming the hallways and using the design lab and showers in the building.  Drama students can enter the building using their Husky cards in the outdoor card swipes.  Since the Library is open from 5-7 Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 1-5, there is a sign on the middle Stevens Way side door, closest to the library (where the book drop is located), directing other patrons to call the Drama Library for access after 5:00 during the weekdays and all afternoon Sunday.  Alternately, people needing entrance to the library can go around the building to the Accessible entrance in the back and ring the doorbell.  The change is not meant to be permanent; the School of Drama will reassess the situation after a month to see if the change in opening hours has resulted in discouraging transients from frequenting the building.  At that time, if the problem has ceased, the building hours will be realigned with the Drama Library hours.
