Access+ PC Problems - 3/21/08

Last night a new Access+ image was rolled out to many locations. Some locations will find small out of order signs on the monitors. Others have PCs that work in every respect except networked printing is not available. This roll-out of a new image was not supposed to take place until after the quarter was over (either this weekend or next week). There seems to have been a failure in communication between Learning & Scholarly Technologies managers and student staff who are actually responsible for rolling out the new image.
The plan is for all Access+ machines to be rolled back to the former image as soon as this can be accomplished. It's hoped this can be accomplished before noon today.
All Libraries-supported PCs are still able to print to Pharos. Access+ machines which seemed not to have been touched with the new image yet (e.g. Drama) are still able to print. Pharos printing from Odegaard Commons and Odegaard Access+ PCs and Mary Gates Computing Resource Center is still working. In Suzzallo & Allen, 3 or 4 Access+ PCs on Allen ground, north and south, and all but a few in Government Publications are working, but printing from these is NOT working.
I'll update you all as I get more information.
