You all may remember that last Winter the Student Technology Fee Committee agreed to fund replacing all the public print station printers. Creative+Communications (formerly known as Prince... I mean Publications Services) has now received all these printers and their staff are in the process of deploying them across campus. This morning, all four public printers in Suzzallo & Allen were replaced by new, stand-alone printers (as opposed to table-top).
They are the same brand of printer and all the access for removing paper jams seems very similar to the previous printers. Also the process for changing toner cartridges is also almost identical to the previous printers.
The new printers have 4 paper trays, so we should need to change paper less often. Also, sometime soon, all these printers will be configured so that one of the trays will have legal size paper.
