Suzzallo/Allen Collections Move Update

I know things are a little crazy out there in the stacks and things are going to be a bit more confusing. I'm sorry for this, but I'm trying to get as much as possible accomplished before the beginning of the quarter. I encourage you to get out in the stacks to get a better understanding of just what is going on. I think you'll be amazed!

What's moving and what will be moving soon:

• Z from 3rd Suzz and 4th Suzz to 1st Allen South (in reverse order)
• DA - DR from 2nd Suzz and 3rd Suzz to 4th Suzz (in reverse order)
• PB - PG from 3rd Allen North, 3rd Allen North and 2nd Allen South to 2nd Suzzallo
• E from 2nd and 3rd Suzz to 3rd Suzz (should be finished tonight!)

We have to move where there is open space so that dictates our non-linear movement.

Tips to finding things in the stacks:

* Check the catalog for the current location.
* Check the call number guides by the elevators.
* Use the floor maps and other signage on the floor.

We've just hired about 20 new student staff so once they're trained, we should be able to maintain normal operations better than we have been and make a bit more progress on the collection move.
