We've made the switch so that all secured items for the lost & found are now in the locked, labeled drawer at the front of the Allen North Information Desk. The same key-on-the-whistle that opened the cabinet door works on the drawer. We will continue to use the cabinet for larger found items needing to be secured, e.g., a backpack with valuable item in it.
A reminder: for wallets, credit cards, passports, and other items for which you can find owner contact information, contact the owner and let them know their belongings were found and are secured at the Allen North Information Desk. Be sure to note this contact in the Lost & Found Log.
