BookScan Station Trouble-Shooting

The next time a user reports that their flash drive is not being recognized by the USB at the BookScan Station, please report this to uwcshelp@u.washington.edu immediately (week day, day times).  We are trying to determine why some users report their flash drives not working at the BookScan while, so far, Dawg Prints staff have been unable to replicate the problem.

A couple of possibilities are:

  1. their flash drive is too full for the size of the scan files they are creating
  2. their flash drive is not supported by this particular USB port

Users with this problem, can use the 'back' arrow on the screen to go back and make an alternative selection for delivery of their scanned files, i.e., scan to email or scan to print.  They can do this safely without loosing any scanned files.
