Patrons Can Now Cancel Summit Requests

Hi Public Services Colleagues,

I wanted to let you know about a new Summit function that was gained in yesterday's NRE upgrade. At long last, patrons now have the ability to cancel their own Summit requests from their Summit account - they no longer need to contact the ILL/Summit office in order to cancel a request for a Summit item.

An easy way to do this is to have patrons log into their UW Libraries account. Within their account is a link to "My Summit Account." From there the patron can select their institution (University of Washington), click "Continue," and a list of their requests will appear. Recently-placed requests - that have not already been shipped -  will now have a "Cancel" button.  Attaching a screen shot here.
