Getting Ready for the Move to the New Catalog and Check-Out System

This is very important for all of you who will be working at any of the Information/Help Desks after June 23, when we will switch over to the new, ExLibris Primo (catalog) and Alma (backend).  Whether your are affiliate staff or student staff, you need to do what Thom lays out below, including requesting an Alma account and playing around with the interface.
I don't know what we will be offered in the way of more formal training, but none may be needed, since the interface is not very complicated.
Students:  before our Info Services staff meeting next Friday morning, please explore this during your usual shifts on desk.

1) If you were unable to attend the Alma Basic Circulation Training have a look at the PowerPoint presentation:

Go to the Circulation Portal on staffweb:

https://staffweb.lib.washington.edu/units/access-services/circulation-portal/about-the-circulation-system/alma/alma-fulfillment-training

and click on the "Basic Circulation Overview PowerPoint"
2) Watch the training videos at:

https://staffweb.lib.washington.edu/units/access-services/circulation-portal/about-the-circulation-system/alma/alma-fulfillment-training/videos

3) Get access to Alma and experiment - everything we do in the current environment is temporary and will not migrate to Alma. Look at the Alma role descriptions:

https://staffweb.lib.washington.edu/units/library-account-services/creating-patron-accounts/alma-role-descriptions

and then get your Alma account:

https://staffweb.lib.washington.edu/units/library-account-services/creating-patron-accounts/alma-role-assignment-form

4) Have access to Alma? Try the exercises at:
