- All UW Libraries materials can be returned to any UW Library with one very important exception: All reserve materials must be returned to the desk from which they were borrowed. If they are returned elsewhere, they can take up to 3 days to reach the owning library, in which case the borrower will be charged overdue fees on an hourly basis!
- All Summit and Interlibrary Loan materials may be returned to any UW Library.
- All materials can be returned via a book return, except for materials that may be damaged by doing so, e.g., a government publication which is only a couple of printed sheets or maps. It is preferred that CDs (in the crystal cases) be returned to the Media Center Help Desk.
