Public Telephones in Allen Lobby

The 2nd of the 2 public phones under the stairs in the Allen lobby has been removed.  These phones were over 20 years old and had taken much, much abuse over those 2 decades.  Most recently, someone stole the handset on the one remaining phone.

It's uncertain right now whether or not there will be a new phone installed there in the future.  I'll keep you posted about that.

In the meantime, I will put a sign there directing users to the only public phone I know of on campus, at the west end of Kane Hall lobby, next to the vending machines.  It's a pay phone.

These phones will not be replaced.  The Public Telephone page in the Info Index has been updated with locations of 4 pay phones on the Seattle campus, including the one in Kane Hall lobby.
