User Query Gathering and the New Form

Our first user query sampling period using the new form is Thursday, November 12 through Wednesday, November 18, 2015.  Some of you may have already tested the new form while you were on the Suzzallo Info Desk.   Most of you probably have not seen the new form before.   It will automatically open in a new tab when you open Chrome at both of the desks.  Note:  the only 2 circles you will need to click are  the desk where you are located and whether or not the question is Non-Reference or Reference.  Ours will almost all be Non-Reference.  Here is a definition of each category.

We count all our user interactions except when all we are doing it checking out materials.  If, however, you check out materials and give the person directions or answer an information question, then you will click in the Non-Reference or Reference circle.

You will only click once for each person regardless of how many questions they ask…unless they go away and come back with a totally unrelated question.

You don’t have to do anything with the Custom Date/Time box.  When you click the Submit button, that data will be automatically generated.
