Pharos (Public Printing) Problem

We are experiencing a system-wide Pharos problem. Some print jobs are not printing, even though the user finds them in the queue and the correct amount is debited from the user's Husky or Dawg Prints Card account. Lonnie has been on the phone with Pharos all morning trying to find out what's wrong and how to get a fix in place.

For now, either print the lost job for the user at your public desk printer (if feasible); or your can email uwcshelp@u.washington.edu within 1/2 hour of when the print job was originally sent, with the following information:
  • Physical location of the printer
  • Number of pages of print job
  • Time the print job was sent
  • Name user gave document
Lonnie and Dean can then 'force' the print job to print to the printer to which it was originally sent.

You can also have the user resend their print job and pay for it with your emergency Dawg Prints card; but, of course, there is no guarantee the print job will release.
