The fix for this problem is no small thing. It requires that each of the infected computers be reimaged.
I'm certain we'll hear more from the LST staff as a strategy is put in place for solving this.

Access+ & Labs Computers Virus-Infected
As of this morning (March 6) there are dozens of computers in OUGL (both labs and Access+), East Asia, & Architecture & Urban Planning Libraries that are infected with a virus. When this occurs, the UW Technologies staff detect the infestion per computer and do one of 2 things: allow no connection to the campus network or restrict access on the computers to <.washington.edu> sites only. We have not seen any of this in Suzzallo & Allen, yet; but it's probably only a matter of time.
